United Felts Rebrands CIPP H2O® Potable Water CIPP Liner to UnitedBLUE™

PR Newswire

New Name, Same Trust — UnitedBLUE™ Reinforces United Felts' Leadership in Potable Water CIPP Technology

MARTINSVILLE, Va., June 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- United Felts, a Vortex Company and industry-leading manufacturer of liners for trenchless rehabilitation, has announced a comprehensive rebrand of its breakthrough CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) technology for potable water applications. Formerly known as CIPP H2O, the product will now be marketed under the name UnitedBLUE, specifically designed for watermain renewal. This rebrand follows the successful launch of the Vortex Water division, dedicated to solving the critical challenges posed by aging water infrastructure worldwide.

Mike Vellano, CEO and Founder of Vortex Companies, emphasized the strategic significance of this transition: "Over the last decade, Vortex has set the standard for sewer system rehabilitation across the globe. Now, we are bringing that same commitment to innovation and excellence to the potable water sector throughout North America. With a portfolio of proven, NSF-certified products and the most experienced watermain rehabilitation team in the industry, UnitedBLUE will serve as the flagship solution within the Vortex Water system."

The rebrand highlights UnitedBLUE's ongoing evolution and enhanced performance in meeting the growing demand for reliable, cost-effective potable water main rehabilitation. North America's aging infrastructure is in critical need of trenchless solutions that meet stringent standards, and UnitedBLUE represents the latest advancement in CIPP liners for potable water. Developed in close partnership with United Felts, the product embodies decades of expertise in liner design and manufacturing.

This strategic rebranding is in name only—UnitedBLUE remains identical to CIPP H2O in every technical and functional aspect. Both iterations have been consistently manufactured by United Felts using identical raw materials, standardized production processes, and stringent quality controls. UnitedBLUE holds NSF-61 and BNQ certifications, fully approved for use in the rehabilitation of potable water conveyance, distribution, and transmission systems. Product performance specifications, installation procedures, and compliance with applicable standards remain unchanged.

"The transition to UnitedBLUE not only signals the product's growth and innovation but also emphasizes that this is an American-made solution, produced to the highest standards and readily available to the market.," added Matt Timberlake, President of United Felts. "With over one million feet installed, it's already recognized as one of the leading potable water relining solutions in the industry."

UnitedBLUE is part of a comprehensive water system solution developed by Vortex Water (a division of Vortex Companies) to reline leaking watermains, reinstate services, and reconnect to existing infrastructure—using an all-American-made suite of products that includes UnitedBLUE, fittings, and restraint joints.

Cedric Bergeron, Senior Vice President of Vortex Water, concluded: "Across the country, millions of gallons of water are lost every day due to breaks in aging water systems. The need for effective, affordable, and minimally disruptive solutions has never been more urgent. Our trenchless system, anchored by UnitedBLUE offers a faster, less invasive alternative to traditional pipe replacement—helping communities address this crisis head-on."
