Counsel Ebonie Davis Joins Lathrop GPM Real Estate & Tax Credit Group and Kansas City Office

This month, real estate and tax attorney Ebonie Davis joins Lathrop GPM's Real Estate & Tax Credit Practice Group as counsel in the Kansas City office. Ebonie has extensive experience advising clients on M&A matters, handling all aspects of leasing agreements and finance negotiations.

KANSAS CITY, Miss., Dec. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Ebonie Davis to the firm's Kansas City office and Real Estate & Tax Credit Practice Group as counsel.

Davis represents clients in real estate transactions, including review of leases, contract agreements, and loan documents. She is experienced in working with a variety of financing methods, including low-income housing tax credit financing. In addition, Davis advises clients on M&A matters, handling all aspects of the acquisition, including lease and real estate matters and negotiating financing.

Davis previously practiced at another Kansas City law firm and prior to that was an attorney for the United States Department of Agriculture. At the USDA, she advised federal agencies in connection with multifamily housing loans, community facilities loans, and water and sewage projects. She also assisted with trial and appellate matters in state and federal court.

Active in the community, Davis is a board member of the AltCap Advisory Board and a Housing Committee member of Unite KC. She is also the CLE Chair for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and Immediate Past President of the Jackson County Bar Association.

Davis earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2013 and her B.A. from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007.
